Denmark introduces green card

The government and Danish People’s Party have agreed on a green card scheme, which means that educated residents will have easier access to Denmark.

High wages, high education, work experience, but still young.

Meet a foreigner the four above requirements seem the way to the Danish labor market to be secured.

The government and Danish People’s Party have agreed on a new green card system in which foreigners must obtain a certain number of points if they will be sure to obtain a work permit.

80 points is the magic number
If a foreigner must obtain a residence permit is 80 points the magic numbers in a system where a PhD degree gives the most points, while an income of 450,000 is the second best. The aim of the new scheme to attract more qualified workers to Denmark.

The reason for the new green card is that the government and Danish People’s Party will relax the requirements for when highly educated foreigners outside the EU can come to Denmark. In this way, hope lots to attract more skilled workers.

The new regime comes into force next spring.
